Resorts World Las Vegas Sets Official Opening Date for June 24

Good news seems to be on the horizon for Las Vegas punters as Resorts World Las Vegas finally prepares to open its doors. The $4.3 billion, 3,500-room resort will be the first one to launch on the Strip since December 2010. The last major resort of this stature to open on the Strip was the Cosmopolitan.

The resort is expected to welcome its first guests on June 24th. Everything is expected to be operational by that date except for the resort’s theater which will not be ready until fall. Resorts World Las Vegas will occupy the 88-acre site that was previously occupied by the Old Stardust.

The launch of Resorts World has been a long time coming ever since ground was broken in 2015. Now as the vaccination process continues to spread and gain momentum all across the country, Resorts Worlds is expected to cater to travelers and punters that will be looking to let loose after what has been the strangest time in our history.

What will Resorts World Las Vegas offer?

As the newest resort on the block, everyone will be looking towards Resorts World Las Vegas for a taste of something new and unique, which is exactly what Resorts World Las Vegas promises to offer patrons. Owner Genting Group claims that it focused heavily on technology, as is evidenced by the humongous LED screens visible from the resort’s west tower.

Resorts World will also have a 5-acre pool complex to cater to sunbathers and pool goers. The 117,000 square foot casino will have all the staples. There is also an all-electric underground transit system that is designed to link the Resort to the closely situated Las Vegas Convention Center.

A closer look at what the hotel boasts includes:

Luxury accommodations

Resorts World Las Vegas will incorporate 3 Hilton hotels into the property, each featuring individual entrances and lobbies. Resorts World is already accepting reservations.

Las Vegas Hilton will have a total of 1,774 full service rooms and suites for its guests. Each of these rooms will vary in size but will range between 400 and 3,300 square feet. Every room will also include top of the range smart amenities and impeccable décor.

Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World will feature 1, 496 modern guest rooms and suites that vary in size from 550 square feet to 2,800 square feet. These rooms will also feature ritzy amenities, as well as curated program artwork. Last but not least, the Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World will be reserved for the ultra-luxury spenders.

The Conrad will have the fewest rooms of all three Hilton Hotels boasting a total of 236 luxury guest rooms. The rooms will also differ in size but will feature luxury amenities, lavish accommodations, as well as personalized service; the kind that the rich and famous demand.

Guests will have more than 40 food choices and beverages to choose from ranging from quick service menus to exclusive dishes and offerings that you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere on the Strip. One of the dining options that food critics are already ranting and raving about is the Asian Street food market that will be incorporated within the Resorts’ dining scene.

Famous Foods Street Eats is slated to offer guests a selection of authentic dishes from Asia including samplings from Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.  The street food concept was inspired by the hawker style food that is frequently offered all over Asia. The center will sit on a 24,000 square foot hall and will include a total of 16 stalls all operated by some of the best chefs and restaurateurs the world has to offer.

The casino

The 117,000 square foot casino will have everything that you would expect a top notch casino in Las Vegas to have. This means that there will be lots of table games, including roulette and blackjack. A dedicated poker room for live dealer games, designated high limit spots for big spenders, as well as a decked out sportsbook.

Additional entertainment and shopping

Guests that earn points can redeem them whenever they dine, shop or play with the resorts loyalty program known as Genting Rewards. Guests can shop from the 2 levels of boutiques and shops that will offer everything from luxury brands to lifestyle ones.

Resorts World Las Vegas will also feature one of the most elaborate pool complexes in the Strip. The 5.5-acre pool complex will be the largest in Las Vegas and will also feature high class spas. Included in the entertainment will also be a 5000 capacity concert and entertainment venue ideal for large gatherings such as sporting events, concerts, and conventions.

The Resort has not yet announced its lineup of celebrity performers and entertainers although it is expected to do so soon. There will be a day and night club curated by the well-known Zouk Group, which is one of the top lifestyle and entertainment firms in Singapore. Some of the DJs expected to perform at the day and night club include A-list names the likes of Tiesto and DJ Zedd.

Final Thoughts

After what has been one of the most challenging periods in history, Resorts World is finally going to welcome its first guests this June. As the date fast approaches, the resort is doing everything it can to prepare and make sure that everything is safe; we are still fighting a pandemic after all.

The hospitality industry as a whole has been shattered by the pandemic. Anything that can help to bring light to thousands of people that have lost their jobs since its advent is a welcome addition and change of pace for Las Vegas.

As the city prepares to start its recovery efforts, guests and Las Vegas residents have even more to look forward to throughout the rest of the year. It may have taken Resorts Worlds almost a decade to complete the construction of this world-class establishment. However, with all the amenities it promises to offer customers, the wait will well have been worth it.
