Control Board Recommends Licensing for Resorts World Las Vegas

In readiness for the scheduled opening date of June 24th, the Nevada Gaming Control Board recently recommended Resorts World Las Vegas for licensing approval. Resorts World, which has been under construction and planning for more than 7 years is operated by its parent company Genting Berhad PTC.

The recommendation, which was approved unanimously, will be considered for the final OK on May 2oth by the Gaming Commission. Board members of Resorts World have a private virtual session with the Genting chairman who is currently based in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the organizational culture, as well as the corporate diversity.

The chairman also discussed in great detail the 3,506-room Strip resort, which is the most expensive project undertaken to date on the Strip in more than a decade. Because Genting has such a great reputation in the international gambling circles, the Board is expected to get the licensing it needs to launch by June 24th

Once launched, Resorts World the city is banking that the resort will help to draw even more visitors to Las Vegas, which has truly been suffering under the weight of restrictions and health guidelines that have kept visitors at bay for the most part. Now that the vaccination process has been underway for a while now and people are becoming more receptive to traveling again, Vegas is hoping to regain its lost glory as the entertainment capital of the world.

Resorts World has already booked the first of its entertainment lineup that consists of big names such as Luke Bryan, Celine Dion, DJ Zedd, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, as well as JD Tiesto. Resorts World has a lot of unique offerings waiting in store for guests including the massive 100,000-square-foot video display wall located on the West Tower of the resort.

Guests will also be treated to the resorts’ keyless entry system that guarantees frictionless and touch-free check-ins, and cashless transactions. There will also be an animated baccarat machine that will be making its debut in Vegas. Other technical highlights that promise to awe guests are the 50-foot video globe, as well as the AI powered personal powered assistant that goes by Red.

On offer will also be crypto transactions that will be powered by the Resorts partnership with Gemini Limited. Although the theater is one of the only aspects of the casino that will not be ready to open by the launch date, when it does, it is expected to be one of the most fascinating areas of the resort.

Resorts World promises guests a 5,000-seat concert venue that will only be ready in fall. When it debuts, the venue will boast one of the biggest stages, measuring 196 feet wide and 64 feet deep.

The stage will also feature a proscenium opening, 3 independent stage lifts capable of lifting an impressive 86,000 pounds. The audio system will be insane with at least 260 speakers. The LED screens within the theater will be made up of 300 moving fixtures and 4 robotic spotlights.

Resorts World couldn’t have picked a better opening date

Resorts World will start welcoming guests just as more and more people are beginning to travel again. Traffic on the Strip has been picking up over the last few weeks ever since March Madness and will likely keep picking up over the next coming months. The traffic has mostly been driven by the pent up demand by young travelers looking for all the experiences that only Vegas can offer.

And it’s not just the younger crowd that’s frequenting the Strip. Even the older over 50s crowd, fully vaccinated and with disposable income, are flooding the city gates. As more of the more mature crowd continues to keep receiving vaccines and get more comfortable with the idea of traveling for extended distances, it stands to reason that casino resort visits will spike.

One of the primary forces driving the mature crowd to start travelling again has been the efficient rollout of available vaccines. At least 30% of the country’s adults ought to be vaccinated by the end of the March, which will be a wonderful catalyst for increased travel moving forward.

This increased confidence in air travel coupled with the pent up demand from the younger and older demographic is great news for casino resorts on the Strip and even better news for Resorts World Las Vegas, which has all the bells and whistles designed to draw in visitors over competitors.

For travelers that are Vegas regulars, the casino resort landscape may seem a little played out. But Resorts World is brand new and the first casino on the Strip to be constructed from the ground up in more than 10 years. With 3 Hilton brands on one roof, the resort has been accepting reservations for a while now.

After more than 7 years of planning, Resorts World Las Vegas is going to change the face of the hospitality industry on the Strip. Not only does it have the most variety of accommodation on offer, it also boasts the most advanced technology. The resort’s 3 hotels, namely the Las Vegas Hilton at Resorts World, the Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World, and the Crockfords Las Vegas have all been designed to attract travelers with broad budgets.

In addition to the wide range of accommodation options, visitors will also have more than 40 good and beverage outlets to sample with the offerings ranging from fine dining to fast food. When it comes to the shopping on offer, the resort has dedicated 70,000 square feet of retail space to boutique shops and a range of luxury brands. Resorts World will also have the largest pool deck on the Strip.

For nightlife, the resort will have 2 clubs; the Zouk Nightclub, as well as the Ayu Dayclub. The casino will have a poker room as well as dedicated high limits areas for punters. Of course, the resort promises to have one of the best sportsbooks in town, which will give gamblers a comprehensive gambling experience on the Strip.
