NeoPollard announces entry into Canadian Gaming Market

NeoPollard Interactive has entered into the Canadian gaming market through its partnership with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC). NeoPollard Interactive was contracted as the operator of AGLC's program, PlayAlberta.ca.

NeoPollard Interactive said it deployed its cutting-edge technology, a full suite of managed services, and its top performing game content on September 30, 2020.

This complex deployment, NeoPollard Interactive said in a statement, marks the beginning of Alberta's only regulated online gambling website. NPi's advanced NeoSphere platform fulfilled AGLC's vision to bring a world-class online gambling entertainment solution to Alberta, while ensuring flexibility for the further evolution of AGLC's program.

Expanded options

Canada’s Alberta province launched PlayAlberta.ca, an online gaming platform, which it says is another way the AGLC is implementing its promise to generate revenues for the benefit of Albertans.

Alain Maisonneuve, president and CEO of AGLC, said: "AGLC is excited to work with NPi (NeoPollard Interactive) and apply their vast experience as we provide a regulated online gambling website that will offer players expanded entertainment options with integrated responsible gambling features and generate revenue to support valuable programs and services Albertans rely on every day."

The PlayAlberta.ca website provides a variety of interactive content for players, such as casino-style games and eInstant content from NPi. In future PlayAlberta is promising to bring in a lottery, a complete sportsbook, poker, bingo, and live table games, with the offering also integrating the responsible gambling programme of AGLC GameSense, which provides players with instruments and tools to make safe and knowledgeable gambling choices.

AGLC projects that PlayAlberta will generate $3.71 million in revenue per year. “The profits generated by the Alberta online gaming website will have a direct impact on Albertans [supporting] the valuable programs and services that Albertans rely on every day,” AGLC Chairman of the Board of Directors Len Rhodes said at the launch of PlayAlberta.ca

The Inkedin website explained that NPi had introduced a full range of managed services for AGLC ranging from revenue-generating activities to improving player experience. This includes its marketing and customer service centre for customer interaction, which offers real-time support for players via mobile, chat, and email.

Liz Siver, NPi’s general manager said: “NPi is delighted to celebrate the launch of this exciting offering alongside our partners at AGLC. NPi's growth into the broader North American market exhibits how committed we are to providing the best and most profitable iLottery solutions. We look forward to continuing to evolve PlayAlberta.ca in support of returning revenue to the citizens of Alberta."

Who is NeoPollard

Currently, NPi provides lottery solutions across Virginia, New Hampshire, Michigan, and North Carolina.

In June, AGLC announced that it had signed a deal with NPi) to build and maintain PlayAlberta.ca. The two parties agreed to an initial seven-year term with “an extension of up to 12 years possible.”

Last June, prior to NPi being announced as the AGLC’s partner, the company was nominated for Lottery Supplier of the Year by eGaming Review for the 2020 B2B Awards. The company said it powered the most profitable iLottery programs in the market — generating an

average of 345% higher sales per capita than programs offered by its competitors in other U.S. markets, and accounting for approximately 70% of total iLottery revenues in the country.

NeoPollard Interactive is an amalgamation of Pollard Banknote and NeoGames.
