BCLC Launches IWG’s Jackpot-enabled e-Instants

British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has become the fifth lottery to launch Instant Win Gaming’s e-Instant jackpot-enabled InstantJackpots module.

With the launch of the highly successful InstantJackpots module, Instant Win Gaming (IWG) said it was strengthening its partnership with long-term customer BCLC.

A statement said the first game available from the InstantJackpots module, Jungle Tumble Jackpots, is now available across the BCLC’s PlayNow.com platform. Jungle Tumble Jackpots has already attracted a massive and loyal following from players scattered across Atlantic Canada, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Virginia.

Strong addition

Rhydian Fisher, IWG CEO, described Jungle Tumble Jackpots as a strong addition to what is already a strong offering.

“Our InstantJackpots technology is our latest innovation for the e-Instant category and is resonating with players across North America. We’re excited to bring the next wave of games that feature the module and build further momentum in the months ahead,” Fisher said.

The progressive InstantJackpots module is contained within IWG’s InstantRGS (Remote Game Server), allowing lotteries to launch progressive jackpot enabled games just as seamlessly as other e-Instant titles. IWG, a leading supplier of digital e-Instant games to NASPL/WLA-member lotteries, is expected to unveil a new title featuring the technology in the second quarter of 2021.

BCLC and IWG have been in partnership since 2018. IWG is the most important instant win game provider for the Crown company.

Just a month before partnering with the BCLC, IWG launched Jungle Tumble Jackpots with Pennsylvania Lottery.

Pennsylvania reportedly had an amazing January when it comes to sports betting and online gaming, as both of these segments made the record amount of revenue compared to previous months confirming the thriving of the online segment as opposed to restriction-hit retail. Online casinos made $80.4 million in revenue, while sportsbook handle amounted to $220.7 million.

IWG offers full service for lotteries, from strategy and consultancy to design and build. The company has launched more than 250 games that it says have performed consistently at the highest level, engaging and retaining players and driving great results for our customers. In addition, IWG says it has the knowledge to deliver a winning portfolio of games and the experience to make it grow.

Single event sports betting on the horizon

BCLC probably has one eye on the legalization of single event sports betting, which increasingly looks inevitable with each passing day. A private member’s bill meant to legalize single event sports betting has gone through the second reading in the House of Commons, while the government has also proposed a similar law. 

In addition to the expansion of the partnership with IWG, in 2019, BCLC extended its working relationship with sports betting technology provider Scientific Games for a further five years through to 2024.

The deal will see Scientific Games provide a fully upgraded suite of digital sports betting and iGaming solutions, including player account management services. BCLC will benefit from the full range of Scientific Games’ OpenSports product suite, including promotions, scoreboards, and seamless user interface. OpenSports powers sports betting operations with the player at the heart of its solutions, keeping engagement, reliability, and an intuitive interface top-of-mind.
